Coach’s Manifesto *

You and I we meet as strangers

Each carrying a mystery within us

I cannot say who you are;

I may never know you completely,

But I trust that you are a person in your own right,

Possessed of a beauty and value that are the Earth’s richest treasures.

So I make this promise to you;

I will impose no identities upon you, but will invite you

To become yourself without shame or fear,

I will hold open a space for you in the World

And allow your right to fill it with an authentic

Vocation and purpose

For as long as this search takes, you have my loyalty

Theodore Roszak

What Does a Coach Do?

Through the use of powerful questions, a coach assists clients to find their own solutions and to start thinking and acting in the direction of their deeper self and values.

Logical Levels for Coaching**

Spirit or Vision:

What is your vision?

Who else would benefit from your vision?

What kind of person would you become once you’ve achieved this vision?

Beliefs and Values:

Why is this important to you?

What beliefs do you need to have to be successful?  What are your values?

What capabilities would you have?

What skills would you need to acquire to get there?

What actions would you take to reach your vision?

How would you behave?  What are some steps that you need to take?

What would your environment look like?

What are your opportunities and constraints?
